Reax: journalistic shorthand that means reaction or reactions..

The word reaction has a lot of meanings. Usually is any response caused by some other action. In chemistry, it describes the different phenomena that takes place when putting in contact diferent substances, new ones are formed. In physics, for every action force, there is a reaction of equal magnitude but in opposite direction. In psychology, is a behavior response to a stimulus; in politics means to be against something, or the tendency to revert to a former state....

Reax is a musical concept that fulfills all of these definitions. It arises like a response to the present commercial tendencies.

Without underestimating nobody, we miss a beautiful and melodiosa voice singing, instead of shouts, acrobatic dance routines or georgous faces and bodys. Those things are important, but as a complement, cannot be substitute of the main thing.

In the same way, we thought that the arregements, orquestación and production, must be something more than elementary beats with sticky and repetitive phrases.

The electronics must be only another creation tool, the fusion cannot be a talent substitute....

We don´t believe in spontaneous generation. Our musical conception is product of many influences: great songs, musicians and performers, who made us feel, dance, love and cry.

That´s the reason why we could not resist the temptation to pay tribute to them, with a lot of care, nostalgia and respect. The idea is not to copycat them or simply play their "covers"... We have created our own versions, preserving the esentia but adding our personal interpretation touch.
